Michael Radbill Named 2006 Construction Engineer of the Year by Philadelphia Section

The Philadelphia Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers has cited Michael Radbill as its 2006 Construction Engineer of the Year. This award was presented to Mr. Radbill at the Section’s annual Spring Social and Dinner Dance, which was conducted on May 5.


Mr. Radbill is a Vice President at Urban Engineers in Philadelphia and serves as the Practice Leader of Urban’s National Construction Consulting Practice. He took this position at Urban in 2005 after considerable experience at other firms and in the United States Army. In this capacity, he is a key part of the firm’s construction management and quality control efforts. He is additionally charged with the identification and pursuit of construction consulting opportunities for Urban. He has been in the construction management field for 30 years and has acquired certification as a Professional in Construction, Advanced Metric Specialist, and Documents Technologist, in addition to professional engineering registration in 9 states and Puerto Rico. He received his Bachelors degree in civil engineering from Clarkson University in 1968 and a Masters degree in Regional Planning from Pennsylvania State University in 1976. He has been an active member of the Construction Management Association of America and the American Institute of Constructors in addition to ASCE. He is actively involved in ASCE’s Construction Institute on the national level and is a member of the Institute’s Claims Avoidance and Resolution Committee. He lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
