Marvin Oey, CI Director
CI has made significant headway this year; however, there is still much to do. The CI Board has redefined the CI mission, met with many of the technical committee chairs, and has begun to identify key strategic goals.
For those of you who are not familiar with the CI Organizational Structure, there are essentially three basic units—the CI Board of Directors, the Directorates, and the Technical Committees. Communication between these three units must improve in order for CI to provide value to its members.
In the next few issues of The Construction Zone, I will be discussing the inner workings of these three basic units of CI and how you as a member can get involved. An article on the composition of the CI Directorates and their important role in the technical activities of CI can be found in this issue. I would like to invite you to take the time to read it and learn how you can become more involved in making CI more valuable to you.
